Saul Sounds First interview since the Miss SeneGambia
Ukg:
We couldn’t make it to the Big opening of Joluv Night Club on bank
holiday Sunday due to unforeseen circumstances.
So Mr Sounds how was the opening
of Joluv Night Club?
Saul Sounds: It was big and
fantastic, I was really proud of the turnout and the entertainment was
superb.
Ukg:
Did all the Djs turn up?
Saul Sounds: Yes, all the Djs
advertised on the flyer attended Dj L-k-J, Senegal No.1 Dj Mbalax, Hasim,
Badou Ndow and Waka J. The line up was solid and the crowd was
fantastic. It was class.
Ukg:
How was security?
Saul Sounds: Security was
very tight inside and out, with patrol guards to make sure cars were
safe outside. Security is something I take very seriously.
Ukg:
Was Ukg’s support in the promotional campaign
helpful.
Saul Sounds: Words can’t
thank Ukg. Your development has been rapid and we are benefiting from
something we never had in the community before. Now we have got a media
to turn to and pass on information to the entire community like never
before. Jere-jen-jef.
Ukg:
Now that JNC has opened, what’s on the programme Menu for this
weekend?
Saul Sounds: This Saturday is
‘Jolof Nice Saturday Night’ Teymu-neex special Sabarr Senegambian Style
plus the heavy line up of Djs from the opening. Ladies special admission
only £5 and Gents £10. It’s going to be Big!
Ukg:
There was another Gambian show at club 19, featuring
some Gambian talents like Mystic, Rebellion, Mandingo and Hamaleh Gi.
Did it affect your show?
Saul Sound: Not at all
because all the regular clubbers were at Joluv Night Club.
Ukg:
Wasn’t it going to be in the interest of the Gambian
people to merge the events and give our artist a bigger audience.
Saul Sounds: It was
unfortunate that something like that happened but it was too late for me
to do anything about it, because that show only came to my knowledge a
week or so ago. And my show adds had been out long before that. So it
was a difficult one for me, I hope next time we can try and avoid such
things from happening.
Ukg:Thank
you very much for your time Sir and all the best.
Saul Sounds: Jereh-jef Ukg
