Nominated
for the Most Promising Female Artists for the KORA Awards (The All African Music
Awards) in 2005, TITI has turned from promising to a talented, entertaining and
a unique mbalax artist. She is Unique simply because of her wonderful and
powerful voice, unrivalled by any other SeneGambian female artist.
Titi’s
exceptional voice paved the way in her early career for being chosen as a chorus
singer by a list of impressive artists such as Fallou Dieng, Demba Dia,
Souleymane Faye, Salam Diallo, Salsa Stars of Maestro Allassane gom…etc.
Her break
through came in 2003 with the release of her first album "Kouneh ak loula
yeungal” which was a massive hit in Senegal & Gambia. In 2005 her second album
“Amoul Noumalene beuggue woule" was released and proved to be an even greater
hit.
On Saturday
the 26th of August, the SeneGambian audience at the Joluv Night Club enjoyed an
amazing opener to the carnival triple jam. This show was to be followed by
Assane Ndiaye and Pape Diof on Sunday and Monday respectively.
Entering the
Joluv Night Club which is now being run by Saul Sowe, the man behind Saul Sounds
Joluv Arts, it was fill with cheerfulness and a lively atmosphere. One could
sense everyone in the club was feeling blissful, excited and ready to have a
great time.
Once again
we were not disappointed. Titi’s performance was excellent, her energy towards
the audience whilst singing made the crowd stood on their toes all night long.
The crowd went wild when she delivered the remixed of youssour ndour's “bagene”
and there was no stopping from there.
Well done to
Saul Sowe and his crew for once again delivering a great show.
