Haddy Jallow, a 20 year old Gambian living in Stockholm, is the latest movie sensation in Sweden. She is the leading actress in the successful and much talked about movie of the year with the title: “Say That You Love me”.

“Unbelievable”, “A must see movie”, “Very Real & Important,” “There should be a law for everyone to watch this movie,”  are some of the reviews given by leading newspapers in Sweden and they all rated this movie with nothing less than 4 stars out of 5.

In the movie Haddy plays the role of Fatou. Fatou is a fifteen-year old girl who is brutally raped by two of her classmates. Wounded and desperate she thinks no one will believe her story, so she claims that nothing happened, that she has just been sleeping around.

Fatou and her friends are of an age between children and adults, they continue experimenting and they are naïve enough to think that if you give men sex, you will get love in return and it seems to work, they get all the attention they want.

When Fatou’s family and teachers start questioning what really happened she denies everything and continues to party and date guys even more. But soon a rumour is spread and everybody becomes aware of the truth. When Fatou is confronted, she fights for her life to keep the truth and the police away.

The film is based on a true story in Sweden were gang rapes are a growing problem among young teens.All of the actors are amateurs and cast from the area where the rape actually took place.

The movie which is in Swedish Language has been a massive hit and www.ukgambians.com has been in contact with the producers. We were informed that the movie will be out on DVD in February with an English sub-title. In the mean time we are working on bringing and exclusive interview with the latest movie sensation.

Haddy Jallow has no major ambitions of becoming an actress but felt that the message in the film was very important to ignore. She knew the producer from previous projects they worked on and decided to take on the role of Fatou. Haddy’s huge passion is in clothes and shoes and she is now working on fulfilling her dream of opening a shop in Stockholm selling just clothes and shoes.
